Seawater and Swimming. Great benefits for human's health !! Share it on Facebook
The sea swimming improves mood and promotes overall health. Hippocrates first had mentioned the word thalassotherapy to describe the healing attributes of seawater, and the ancient Greeks used to soak in baths with seawater.
Seawater contains vital elements, minerals, amino acids and living microorganisms that can produce antibiotics and antibacterial effects, contributing to the creation of a healthy immune system.
The sea salt is considered as a natural blood cleanser. It contains a large amount of vitamin C, which fights free radicals and magnesium which contribute to the action of antioxidants. Sea salt is able to detoxify your skin cells properly absorb all dirt, dust and toxic materials. As repels all the toxins from your body, sea salt makes the skin more supple and healthy. It has been observed that regular baths in sea can enhance the skin tone greatly. The magnesium in the salt can prevent fluid retention from your skin keeping it smooth, firm and youthful. Also, sea salt is rich in essential vitamins and inorganic minerals, which are necessary for the proper functioning of skin cells. These nutrients can improve the cellular metabolism, maintain hydrated tissues, enhances blood circulation to the skin surface and increases the strength of the cell membranes. The calcium content of sea salt can help to clean the clogged pore skin. It keeps the skin clean, reducing the chances of infections on the skin.
The sea salt is used as a natural scrub. The ingredients of the salt helps remove the outer layer of dead skin cells. This is also the reason why after the summer holidays most people have much better tone to their skin, brighter look to face and body.
Moreover, swimming in the sea opens the pores to absorb minerals and excrete toxins that cause disease.
Swimming can ease the blood circulation in the body. Swimming or just to get someone in the sea, improves circulation by restoring the necessary minerals that are depleted by stress, poor nutrient diet and environmental toxins.
Seawater used for health and wellbeing. The warm sea water contributes to a faster absorption of minerals and vitamins thereby activating the body's self-healing mechanisms to cope with diseases such as asthma, arthritis, bronchitis and inflammatory diseases as well as common pains in the body, back pain or other musculoskeletal disorders. The magnesium of seawater, helps to relax muscles, reduces stress and promotes good sleep. Magnesium obliges nerves to relieve stress and increase the sense of calm.
Some attributes of water making swimming or exercise in it highly beneficial are:
- -The buoyancy. The seawater acts contrary to the weight of the bather as he immersed. The buoyancy eliminates the effect of gravity by supporting 90% of the body weight. This reduces stress on the joints which support the body (hips, knees, pelvis, spine) while decreasing the pressure in the muscles, tendons and ligaments. In conclusion, the exercise in water has less risk for injuries.
- - Resistance. The water provides resistance to the movements therein. This attribute can be used for strength training program. And because the resistance is applied in all directions when someone tries to move, there are many fitness opportunities underwater.
- - The hydrostatic pressure. The hydrostatic pressure is the pressure exerted by the water across the surface of the body which is immersed in it. This pressure effect improves the functioning of the heart and lungs. It also helps the blood circulation in the muscles.
Due to these attributes of seawater, when somebody swims or exercises in it, trains all the body muscles, reducing the burden of the spine and injuries risk. Thats why swimming is considered the friendliest form of exercise for the human body!!
